With an incredible image straight out of camera thanks to the next-generation Blackmagic Colour Science, the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6k Pro is much easier to use than it is to say out loud. Blackmagic Design's Gen 5 Colour Science is oftened compared to Arri's - with natural skin tones and gorgeous colour rendering reminiscent of film's most loved characteristics.
 
Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro has the professional features you need for feature film, television programming and documentaries. You get the same features found on much more expensive digital cinema cameras, allowing capture of deeper colours, higher image detail, and a wider dynamic range between the brightest highlights and deepest shadows. 
 
The multifunction handgrip features an ergonomic design that puts important functions such as ISO, WB and shutter buttons at your fingertips. There’s even a scroll wheel under your index finger for making quick iris adjustments.
 
Additional controls go beyond those found on a typical DSLR or mirrorless camera, which means you don’t have to go hunting through menus on a tiny screen to find a setting or command. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera features easy to reach recording and still buttons that are placed exactly where you expect, including user assignable function keys allowing buttons for high frame rate, focus zoom, false colour and more. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro also adds extra ND filter controls, for the built-in ND Filters (2, 4 and 6 Stops). 
 
The 6k Pro's 5" Touchscreen is a bright (1500-nit), flexible and incredibly well-designed monitor that often invalidates the need for an external monitor. On screen overlays show status and record parameters, histogram, focus peaking indicators, levels, frame guides and more. The Menu system is by far the best designed Camera Menu System in Digital Cinema Cameras or Mirrorless Systems. You don't need any prior experience in the Blackmagic ecosystem - it's immediately self-evident where to expect key features like recording format, frame rate, display LUTs, audio settings and more. 
 
Internal RAW Recording to C-Fast 2.0 Cards or external SSD's allows you to take full advantage of Blackmagic RAW. While maintaining manageable file sizes, Blackmagic RAW gives you total flexibility over Colour Temperature, ISO, Tint, Saturation and Exposure in Post. 
 
Built-in Gyro Stabilisation allows you to stabilise Modern or Vintage Lenses with ease. The Smart Active EF Mount allows for automatic Metadata Communication between modern EF lenses and the Cinema Camera to adjust gyro stabilisation on the fly - meaning you can use a Zoom Lens and the Gyro Stabilisation will automatically adjust its strength based on the focal length you're using as you zoom in and out. On Vintage Lenses, you'll need to manually input the Focal Length into the Metadata - you can do this in-camera or in Resolve. 
 
Dual-Gain ISO gives the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6k Pro excellent Low-Light Performance. With a base ISO of 400, and a secondary base of 3200, the 6k Pro allows for filming in ultra low-light scenarios using only natural light. The 6k Pro's ISO can reach up to 25,600, giving you ultimate flexibility no matter the light available to you.
